Fellow GoodLetter readers,
In light of the challenges and hardships the world now
faces, it is all the more important for us to surround ourselves
with positive tales of people who daily do amazing and constructive things to make the world a better place. That's why you get the GoodLetter, right? To learn a little about individuals and
organizations making positive differences in the world? And that's why we
feel so passionately about creating the GoodLetter each week. These
stories need to be told so that we don't lose hope, so that we realize
that in spite of all the craziness that surrounds us, goodness still exists
in the world and each of us can make a difference.
This week, in celebration of the springtime that is finally upon us
here in Seattle, I thought we'd amend our GoodLetter structure a bit
and use this letter as a chance to look back at some of the stories and
accomplishments of the last several months. We've been upgrading our site recently, so I've had the rare and pleasant opportunity to reacquaint myself with all of the good things that we've been able to bring you. It always
amazes me how many great pieces of information we pack into every
GoodLetter and how massive our story archives are becoming. In
celebration of our continued growth and with respect and admiration for all the
people who play the lead roles in our stories, I thought I'd take a stab at
acquainting you all with a few of my personal favorite stories, actions, and
ideas from our last 50 GoodLetters. So, with this
"retrospective" edition, I hope you enjoy the reminder of all the
constructive work that is indeed happening in the world and here at GoodThings.
